Fishing is one of the secondary professions that no one really thinks about, but it’s vital in supporting the other professions. For this reason, it’s better to stick to the lower-level zones when farming these.

Deviate Fish can be a fun alternative way to make some gold from fishing and can be fished as low as fishing skill 1. Deviate Fish can only be fished from the Wailing Caverns in The Barrens. Due to their location, it’s a lot easier for Horde to farm them than Alliance, but will demand a higher price on the Alliance auction house for the same reason. Deviate Fish can be cooked into Savory Deviate Delight, which provides fun buffs (like turning you into a skeleton or a pirate). The uncooked Deviate Fish can sell for over 25 silver a piece on the auction house.
