The Authorized Economic Operators Scheme (AEO), is an international program, which operates under the World Customs Organization’s SAFE Framework of Standards. This program aims to promote and facilitate global trade. AEOs are businesses that engage in the international transportation of goods and have to comply with national customs laws. They must also be approved by their respective governments in accordance with World Customs Organization standards or similar supply chain security.
