There are a few different issues that can come up when you decide that you should break your lease early. If your landlord does ask you to pay some fees for ending the contract early, then pay them. This may not be fun, but it can hurry the process along and is good for you too.

If the landlord says that you can’t get out of the contract, then you may need to continue to pay the rent, choosing to stay there anyway or moving elsewhere and having that extra payment as something that you need to work with for some time.
