Hair transplants include transferring hair to parts of the scalp that are bald or thinning. These are surgical techniques that can help with hair loss when other treatments fail.
Hair transplants are performed by plastic surgeons or dermatologists and include both donor and transplant sites. Donor sites are the places on the scalp where hair grows the most healthily and thickly. Surgeons place grafts from donor locations on hairless areas of the scalp.
After a hair transplant in Dubai, the relocated grafts take some time to recover. Once healed, hair growth resumes in the previously hairless areas.
Different Types of Hair Transplants
People can choose between two primary methods for hair transplantation. Both FUE and FUT offer distinct advantages. While each method is distinct, they also have certain similarities.
Follicular unit extraction (FUE)
In recent years, follicular unit extraction, or FUE, has become the most popular form of hair transplantation. It is the more modern of the two main approaches. This approach includes relocating individual hair follicles from the scalp or any other hair-bearing body region. While the majority of FUE operations focus on scalp hair growth, they are also successful on the genitals, legs, and arms.
The FUE procedure
When a person has a FUE hair transplant, the surgeon begins by shaving hair from the donor and transplant areas. Once both areas are shaven, follicles are removed using micropunch instruments. Next, the surgeon makes small incisions to insert the follicles. After successful insertion, the transplant site is thoroughly cleaned. Last but not least, the surgeon will bandage the transplant site.
