Based on customer feedback and thinking about how to eliminate upper collapse and how to improve comfort, in consideration of these factors, Hatfield's first design concept came into being. "So, I opened the sketchbook and started to think about what would happen if I removed this part of the upper? It was actually a cut. I called it a V-cut. I don't know how to express it in the shoe style," Hatfield Explained.
